En 2022, 891 personas murieron por sobredosis en el condado de Wayne.
Cada una de estas personas tiene nombre, un rostro, una familia.
En el ámbito local, 4 de 5 muertes son provocadas por el fentanilo: un opioide sintético potente de acción rápida que es hasta 100 veces más potente que la morfina y la heroína.
Muchas drogas callejeras están combinadas con fentanilo, incluyendo las píldoras falsas
como Norco, “percs” (Percocet), “oxys” (oxicodona), Xanax, Klonopin, y Adderall, así como otras drogas como la “coca” (cocaína), “meth” (metanfetamina), “molly” (MDMA),
heroína y ketamina.
Dado que es difícil detectar si una droga está combinada con fentanilo, cualquier persona que consuma está en riesgo de tener una sobredosis.
